The Student Center Governing Board is responsible for all facets of the Cesar Chavez Student Center including its facilities, services and programs. From approving new murals on the building, to working on vendor leases, and deciding which services the Student Center provides, the SCGB deals with it all. Since the Student Center receives most of its funding from student fees, the majority of the SCGB members are students. Five of these students are elected and three are appointed by Associated Students. The non-student members consist of SFSU faculty, administration and alumni.

The SCGB has six smaller committees that discuss specific issues related to the Student Center. These committees are: Community Relations, Finance, Human Resources, Master Plan, Rules and Vendor Services. Learn more about these committees here.

All SCGB meetings are open to the public.

Regular Governing Board Meetings always occur on the first Thursday of every month at 9:30 a.m. in the Delmy Rodriguez room.

Meeting times for the six committees vary. Agendas are posted in the glass cabinet outside the Business Office, C-134, at least a week in advance.
